Englishcombe is an established and popular residential area of Victorian and 20th century properties, located within the South West sector of the City of Bath. It is a 10-15 minutes drive down Englishcombe Lane to the City Centre.
The area has its own local shops and there is further shopping at the nearby Bear Flat Shopping Centre. There are primary and secondary schools within a short distance of Sabin Court.
Englishcombe stages one of the city's key events on the local social activity calendar, the Moorland Rd Flower Festival, which has been organised over the past 15 years by the local Traders Association, who have won numerous regional and national Britain-in-Bloom awards.
Bath
Deservedly declared a World Heritage site in 1987, the City of Bath is a rich mix of Roman grandeur and Georgian elegance fusing together in perfect harmony.
The town has many notable buildings including the wonderful Circus and the Royal Crescent.
Today, Bath is a thriving centre with an eclectic mix of shops, boutiques and restaurants. There are numerous places of interest to visit and a number of notable grand country houses are located amid the surrounding countryside.
The Theatre Royal is a renowned regional entertainment venue and the city stages numerous festivals and has a reputation for the performance of its street artists.
Wonderful countryside surrounds the city with the Cotswolds to the North, the downs to the east and the Somerset levels further south.
Transport
Englishcombe has a regular bus service passing by Sabin Court and running into the Bath City Centre. From the City railway station are excellent fast links to London, the West and South Wales.
